What Mercato collects, why, and what you control.
Mercato ("we") operates mercato.gg, a read-only market intelligence platform for the Steam economy, run by sole proprietor Artem Titorenko (Ukraine). Mercato is not affiliated with Valve Corporation.
We use analytics to understand how Mercato is used and to improve it. For everyone, we collect anonymous, aggregate usage — such as page views, searches, filters and how any partner or ad links perform — never linked to your identity. Once you sign in, we also measure how you use features and move through sign-up and checkout, including anonymised session recordings, linked to your account but never to your Steam profile or the content you enter.
Analytics may set a cookie, and we honour your browser's Do Not Track setting.
To run the product you signed up for, keep the platform secure, and — once paid plans are live — meet billing and legal obligations. We collect only what a feature needs, and we never sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
Mercato has no live paid plans yet. When payments launch, they'll be processed by Creem, our merchant of record — card details never touch Mercato's servers.
We keep account data while your account exists, and logs on a rolling operational schedule. Analytics data is retained on a rolling window and carries no identifying content. Ask us to delete your data anytime (see §7).
Manage your email and Steam credentials directly in Settings. For anything else — access, correction or deletion of your personal data — email support@mercato.gg ("Privacy request"). We respond within 30 days.
We'll post material changes here with a new effective date before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the update.
