Browse is not a catalog — it is the navigation layer of the Steam economy. Fourteen entity types (collections, cases, paint kits, weapons, tournaments, teams and more) link every item to everything it relates to. Each entity page explains what the entity is, its market statistics and its connections.
The complete profile of one market item: live price and 24-hour change, price chart across ranges up to the item's full history, per-marketplace prices, market activity, decision zones from the Price Engine, provenance (source collections, cases, drops) and related items. Reachable from every list on the platform.
The Analyzer is a decision report for one item: buy / hold / avoid with expected return, confidence, risk, fair price, scenario analysis and the reasons behind each conclusion. Opening an item the platform has never seen imports it and collects a fresh snapshot on demand — the Analyzer is also how new items enter Mercato's database.
Track items with optional target and stop prices and personal notes. Price alerts fire when an item crosses your threshold (above or below). Alert delivery inside the product is included on every plan; Telegram delivery is a paid-plan capability.
Record positions manually or import them from your synced inventory, with purchase source, quantity, cost basis and date. Mercato tracks current value, profit/loss per position and for the whole portfolio, charted over time on your Dashboard.
A read-only, analytical view of your Steam inventory with current market valuation. Syncing requires connecting your Steam session in Settings; Mercato never modifies, trades or moves items — it only reads.
Everything public — market data, Browse, item profiles, the Analyzer — needs no account. Signing in with Steam (free) adds the personal workspace. Personal features carry per-plan limits; when you approach one, Mercato shows your usage, and the Pricing page lists every limit per plan. Hitting a limit never deletes anything — it only pauses adding more.
Mercato's collector continuously gathers market snapshots from supported providers; every statistic on the platform is built from this snapshot history. Data freshness depends on collection schedules and marketplace rate limits — each item profile shows when its data was last collected.
