    How it works

    What it is

A board of every loadout position in CS2, on both sides. Pick a skin for a position and it is priced from the marketplaces Mercato mirrors; leave one empty and it stays empty. The two sides are kept apart because the game keeps them apart — which weapon belongs to which side comes from the game’s own files, not from a list written here.

    How the price is built

Every filled slot is priced at the cheapest purchasable offer Mercato can see for it, and those are added up. Because each slot may be cheapest somewhere different, that floor is a number no single purchase can produce — so the board also totals the set per marketplace, and states beside each total how many of the priced slots that marketplace actually covers.

    Sharing

Share turns the board into a link. The link carries the picks and an optional name, and nothing about the person who made it. Opening one loads the picks and puts the address bar back to /loadout, so the link is something you send rather than something you are tracked by.

    Your draft stays with you

The board you are building is kept in your own browser’s storage. It is not sent to Mercato, not stored on the server and not attached to any account — there is no account. Clearing your browser data clears the draft, and a link is the only way to move it to another device.

    Question hub

How is the loadout total calculated?

Each filled slot contributes the cheapest purchasable offer Mercato holds for it, in US dollars. A slot nothing is quoting contributes nothing and is marked rather than guessed at, so the total is always a sum of prices that exist.

The per-marketplace totals are the same sum restricted to one marketplace’s own offers, and each is stated with the number of priced slots it covers. A marketplace missing three positions produces a smaller total than one quoting the whole set, and the smaller number is not the better offer — which is why the pair is never split.

    Are the prices live?

They are the offers Mercato last observed. Each marketplace’s public list is re-read on a schedule and stored with the time it was seen, so a total is as fresh as the last sweep and never older than the page says. Nothing is reserved or held for you — an offer can be gone by the time you open it.

Can I buy the whole loadout from one marketplace?

Sometimes. That is what the per-marketplace totals are for: each shows what the set would cost there and how many of the priced slots it can fill. A marketplace that cannot fill every slot says so, and the difference is the cost of buying in one place rather than chasing each item to its cheapest.

    Why are there two sides?

Because CS2 gives you a separate loadout for Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, and most weapons belong to one of them. Which side a weapon is available on is read from the game’s own declaration, so the board places each one where the game does. A weapon the game declares for both appears on both.

    Does Mercato store my loadout?

No. The draft lives in your browser’s own storage and is never sent to the server. A share link carries the picks in its own address and nothing about you, and Mercato has no account to attach a loadout to.
